Urdaneta City University conducted Project 360: Stakeholders’ Consultation Meeting on November 5, 2026, at the University Gymnasium, anchored on the theme, “Empowering Stakeholders, Strengthening Quality, Transforming Education.”
More than 300 participants, including representatives from partner companies, parents, alumni, faculty members, and students, took part in the consultation meeting both onsite and online. The activity aimed to strengthen the University's institutional development by providing stakeholders with an avenue for meaningful consultation and collaboration, particularly in enhancing its academic programs and institutional direction.
In his welcome remarks, Dr. Sonny Soriano, Director of the Office of External Affairs and Linkages, emphasized the value of collaboration and stakeholder engagement in advancing the University's development. He highlighted the importance of building meaningful connections and partnerships, stating that Project 360 essence is “to connect you beyond boundaries, engage you beyond expectations, and to collaborate beyond traditional partnerships.”
Meanwhile, Prof. Rhea M. Agibuay, Director of the Office of Program Accreditation, underscored the importance of the consultation in establishing a shared purpose and direction between the University and its stakeholders. “We will shape the direction of where the University would be in the coming years,” Agibuay said. She further explained that the University's aspirations may involve blind spots that are not immediately seen. By considering the experiences and perspectives of stakeholders, particularly those grounded in realities on the field, the University can identify areas that need further attention and improvement.
The consultation focused on three important and interconnected foundations of the University: the Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO); the Institutional Development Plan (IDP); and the curricula of its academic programs. Through stakeholder feedback, the University sought to determine whether its revised VMGO reflects its identity, values, and aspirations; whether its IDP translates these aspirations into relevant priorities and achievable actions that address institutional and community needs; and whether its curricula equip students with the knowledge, skills, values, and adaptability needed for professional practice, responsible citizenship, and lifelong learning.
The meeting also recognized the participation of stakeholders from the University's various colleges. The program featured the presentation of the revised UCU Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO) by Dr. Danilo B. Dorado, Director of the Center for Innovation and Quality Management, followed by the presentation of the University's Five-Year Institutional Development Plan by Dr. Easter B. Belandres, Director of Institutional Planning and Development.
The consultation continued through college-level discussions covering the VMGO, research and extension, college activities, and curriculum review. These sessions provided stakeholders and college representatives with opportunities to share their insights and recommendations on the University's academic programs and institutional priorities.
Through Project 360, UCU reinforces the importance of stakeholder participation in shaping institutional directions, enhancing academic programs, and advancing continuous quality improvement.
The initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
