Urdaneta City University – College of Arts and Sciences conducted its 2026 Research Primer for second- and third-year Bachelor of Arts in Communication students on October 28, 2026, at the University Chaplain.
The activity aimed to strengthen students’ research knowledge and develop skills to support their academic requirements and future research endeavors. The session featured Dr. Ester B. Belandres, who discussed Ethics in Research Involving Human Participants; Prof. Richmond Racuya, who presented Innovative Dissemination of Research; Prof. Angelita Barlongo, who discussed Systematic Literature Review; and Prof. Jonah Lynn Quinquiano, who presented Statistics Made Easy.
Through the discussions, students gained insights into conducting ethical research, communicating research findings effectively, reviewing related literature systematically, and understanding statistical concepts relevant to their academic work.
Students also had the opportunity to ask questions about their ongoing research projects, particularly the aspects they needed to prioritize and the requirements they needed to fulfill in completing their research papers. The Research Primer supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; and SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.#
